February Reading Challenge update

Reading Challenge 2012

It's the beginning of March, which means that it is time for a checkup on the Reading Challenge 2012.

My goal for this year is to read a total of 30 books. That means 2-3 books a month. January I was just a wee bit behind that goal, though only if you count finished books. I had multiple books that were almost finished.

February, on the other hand, was a stunning success. I didn't finish just three or four books in the month of February. In fact, I finished....

*drumroll*

Eight.

Yes, indeed. Little ol' me, who hasn't had the time she used to have for reading, finished eight books in February. We're only two months into the year, and I'm a third of the way to my goal. I'm wondering now if I might have set it too low... but I'm not going to change the target quite yet. I have no idea how a new baby will effect my reading time. (more time, because babies sleep a lot? Less time because mama needs her sleep too? I guess we'll find out in a few months!)

That brings me to the next announcement. Young Ladies Christian Fellowship (a website I've been following for about as long as I've been online at all) each year dedicates the month of March to books. Throughout this month I will be posting reviews of the books that I've read, and at the end of the month we will all link up together over at YLCF to read all the reviews. My book posts will probably happen on Wednesdays, but I imagine it'll be a matter of fitting them in whenever I have time to write them!

I'm looking forward to sharing some of my favorite books over the next month, and getting some great recommendations from you as well!
